We founded Berbix to tackle a problem we experienced as product and engineering leads for the Trust & Safety team at Airbnb- reliably checking photo IDs online in a fully-automatic yet conversion-friendly way. So we founded Berbix and set out to confidently answer the question: Are you who you say you are?
Since then, we’ve gathered a thoughtful and fast moving team who are passionate about making the internet a safer place for everyone. Come join us in building ID verification for the future.

Hybrid office model
We are a completely hybrid company, meaning we have a San Francisco Headquarters, support local employees to work remotely as desired, and accept fully remote hires within the continental United States!

Our employee resource groups (ERGs) are made up of people from underrepresented groups and their allies. ERGs work with company leadership to advance our commitment to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce and help facilitate a culture where all Berbix employees feel they belong.
Diversity commitments
Building a diverse company is the right thing to do. At Berbix, it’s even more important due to the nature of our product. Our goal is to build a universal identity verification system. Universality requires us to build products that work not just for the highly represented groups, but folks of different nationalities, ethnicities, gender orientations and abilities, among other differences.
